Airtel unveils new international roaming plans to transform global connectivity experience

Bharti Airtel has introduced a refreshed range of International Roaming (IR) plans aimed at making global travel simpler, more affordable, and completely hassle-free for its customers. Among the highlights is the launch of India’s first unlimited* international roaming plans, offering unlimited data access across 189 countries.

To cater to the long-staying NRI community, Airtel has also rolled out a special recharge plan priced at ?4,000 with a one-year validity. This plan includes 5GB of data and 100 voice minutes for use abroad. When used in India, the same plan provides 1.5GB of daily data and unlimited calling—eliminating the need for a separate recharge and allowing users to retain the same number both overseas and at home.

Siddharth Sharma, Director of Marketing and CEO – Connected Homes at Bharti Airtel, said, “At Airtel, our focus is on simplifying our customers’ lives while offering greater value and convenience. These new international roaming plans are a game-changer, allowing our users the freedom to use data and voice services generously while traveling the world. We are committed to creating innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Key features of the new IR plans include:

In-flight connectivity, automatic service activation upon landing, and 24x7 customer support.

A single plan that works across 189 countries—eliminating the need to choose different zones or packs, even for layovers.

Auto-renewal for frequent travelers to avoid repeated purchases and ensure uninterrupted service.

Competitive pricing—more affordable than many local SIMs—offering a cost-effective, all-in-one global connectivity option.

Full control via the Airtel Thanks app, where customers can track usage, monitor bills, and easily top up data or voice minutes as needed.

These enhancements reflect Airtel’s commitment to delivering seamless, value-packed solutions for global travelers.
