Indian benchmarks continued to trade flat during the late morning deals. Equity indices were muted in range bound trade on Wednesday, amid mixed global cues. Among sectors, realty index up 3 percent, pharma index up 1 percent, while PSU Bank index down 1 percent. BSE Midcap index is flat and smallcap index down 0.6 percent.
Among individual shares, Paras Defence and Space Technologies shares surged 10 per cent to a nine-month high of ₹1,469 on the BSE in Wednesday's intraday trade. Vedanta rose about half a percent and IOC added nearly 2 percent ahead of their earnings results due today.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance plunged 5.3 percent and Bajaj FinServ plummeted 6 percent after announcing their quarterly results. State Bank of India declined 1.4 percent on fund raising reports.
At 11:29 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80291.51 up by 3.13 points or by 0 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24356.4 up by 20.45 points or by 0.08 %.
In the volatile trade so-far, Sensex touched intraday high of 80478.73 and intraday low of 80055.87 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24395.2 and intraday low of 24268.80.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 308.65,+1.78%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1831.50,+1.48%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2345.65,+0.99%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1922.40,+0.74%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 428.75,+0.67%), were among the gainers.
Whereas, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1944.00,-5.86%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8599.65,-5.39%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 645.05,-3.09%), State Bank of India (Rs. 791.45,-2.50%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 825.05,-1.46%), among others were the losers on the BSE.
Among the sectors, Realty index was at 6962.31 up by 219.19 points or by 3.25%. Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2211.50,+5.29%), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1348.70,+4.77%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 680.10,+3.22%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1670.00,+3.08%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1416.00,+2.65%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3924 , shares advanced were 1285 while 2428 shares declined and 211 were unchanged.
