Indian benchmarks were trading flat on Wednesday late noon trading session. In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap100 was lower by 0.49 per cent, and the Nifty Smallcap100 was behind by 1.29 per cent.
On the corporate front, shares of Vishal Mega Mart have surged nearly 10 per cent in Wednesday's intraday trading on the BSE. While, Shares of State Bank of India (SBI) have fallen 3 per cent to ₹784.45 on the BSE in Wednesday's intraday trade.
At 14:43 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80334.5 up by 46.12 points or by 0.06 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24336.8 up by 0.85 points or by 0 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80478.73 and intraday low of 80055.87 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24395.2 and intraday low of 24268.80.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12228.60,+3.22%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1870.30,+2.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 309.10,+1.93%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1831.90,+1.50%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1928.50,+1.06%), were among the top gainers.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1953.50,-5.40%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8662.00,-4.70%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 642.60,-3.46%), State Bank of India (Rs. 790.00,-2.68%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11643.45,-1.88%), among others.
Among the sectors, BSE Realty index was at 6910.35 up by 167.23 points or by 2.48%. Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1349.00,+4.79%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2171.25,+3.38%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 676.70,+2.70%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1669.90,+2.24%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1321.70,+2.04%),.
On the flip side, PSU index was at 18712.1 down by -214.42 points or by -1.13%. Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 309.45,-3.57%), General Insurance Corporation of India (Rs. 418.10,-3.46%), UCO Bank (Rs. 31.08,-3.12%), IFCI Ltd. (Rs. 42.50,-3.08%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 379.50,-2.93%).
The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4211 , shares advanced were 1151 while 2894 shares declined and 166 were unchanged.
